Wingding Characters

The handy little symbols in the Wingdings (and Webdings) fonts are great for making quick icons, diagrams, etc. Being professionally created fonts, they do not degrade when sized (likely because they use vector graphics or some such trickery).

But how do you know which keyboard symbol is the skull & crossbones, alien head, or chipmunk? You've come to the right place.

• Here is a table showing all characters in the Webdings, Wingdings, Wingdings2, and Wingdings3 fonts. (It may not look like much if you don't have those fonts installed.)
  
  
• Here is a PDF version of the same table. (It has the fonts embedded, so should be viewable even if you don't have those fonts installed.)
  
  

You can probably copy & paste the symbols directly from those to your documents. Nice.
